How to Find Us

The Old Lyme Dock Company is situated near the mouth of the Connecticut River on the East bank (Old Lyme side), between the I-95 Baldwin Bridge and the Old Lyme Draw railroad bridge.

For Long Island Sound boaters, we can be easily accessed via the CT River mouth, while local boaters on the lower CT River can enjoy our convenient, central location - not far from Hamburg Cove, Essex, Nott Island, and the Old Saybrook Town Dock. Directions By Land...

FROM I-95 SOUTH: (Boston & Points North)Take Exit 70, bear right off exit ramp - Route 156. Take a right onto Ferry Road (about 1/2 mile). The Old Lyme Dock Co. is about 1/4 mile on the right as you approach the waterfront.

FROM I-95 NORTH: (New York and Points South)Take Exit 70, go right off exit ramp - Route 156. Take a right onto Ferry Road (about 1/2 mile). The Old Lyme Dock Co. is about 1/4 mile on the right as you approach the waterfront.

Directions By Sea...

FROM SOUTH EAST END OF LONG SAND SHOAL: At Red Bell "8" head N.W. toward the Saybrook Jetty, at the mouth of the CT River. Enter the breakwater, marked by the Saybrook Lighthouse and Red N "2". Head North between the breakwaters; keep flashing Green "5" well to port. Follow the Navigational aids North; keep flashing Red "8" to starboard. As you pass to starboard of Flashing Red "14", (just past Dock n' Dine), Head up river to the center of the Old Lyme Drawbridge (Bascule Bridge); keep Flashing Green "19" to port. Once through the drawbridge, the Old Lyme Dock will be to starboard (East bank of river). Look for the large U.S. flag and Texaco sign just past the Connecticut D.E.P. dock. The Dock can be hailed on VHF channel 09.
